Happy One Year Anniversary!

I can't believe it has been one year. It went by slow and fast at the same time. Babe, I am so greatful for you and all that you do for me. My love grows more and more everyday for you. I love you so much!

My Wonderful Husband!

So... I was blog stalking like I always do. I came across a blog where this girl wrote why she loves and is greatful for her husband. She asked that it be passed on and write why you love and are greatful for your husband. So see if you can pass it on. Deryck is the best husband ever. He is my best friend. We have been married about a year. It will be a year November 15th. Here are some reasons why I love him and why I am so greatful for him.

1. I love that he is such a hard worker.

2. I love that he loves me and lets me know it everyday.

3. I love that he is so patient with me and rarely ever gets mad at me. I know that has to be hard....

4. I love that he is so handsome and has the cutest smile ever!

5.I love that he would do anything for me.

6. I love that that he can fix anything from something on a car to something with the house. If there is something broke he is always the one to fix it I am so thankful for that.

7. I am greatful that he holds the Melchizedek Priesthood and has such a strong testimony of the church.

8. I am love that if I am having a bad day, He is always there for me to comfort me.

9. I love how sometimes he send me cute texts messages how he loves me and doesn't know what he would do without me.

10. I love how he tells me that he can't wait to marry me in the temple.

I got a new calling in church as a.....

Primary Teacher!!
Obviously I am new to the church so I have never done this before. I am so excited. Right now I am just sitting back and watching and observing. They said they will let me know which class I will be teaching in a few weeks. They are still in the process of switching things around there not sure where they will need me just yet. But, I am just so excited. I think this is going to be an awesome learning expierence for me.

We don't have kids yet as you can see. We just have our one dog, he is a puggle, his name is Gunner. The other night we were bored and thought it would be funny to put some clothes on him. After we got it on. We thought it was pretty funny and snapped a few pictures!

Our Park City Trip

We went and seen the Provo temple, I have never seen that one.

Our Park City trip was alot of fun. The majority of the time we hung out with my family and watched my sister play softball. My mom rented a 2 bedroom condo for the week so, we stayed with them. We had blast. The weather was so nice up there. It even got a little chilly at night. We got there on Sunday afternoon, we went and had dinner with my parents and walked down Main Street. Monday consisted of Shopping, went and watched the skills contest, my sister was in it for pitching and then they had a parade down Main Street. Tuesday we went to some softball games and rode the rides behind our condo. Wednesday is when we went to see the Provo temple and had a BBQ with Derycks family in American Fork,UT. Thursday we went to the Oquirrh Moutain Temple open house with Deryck family. It was so pretty inside. Then we went to some more softball games. Friday we went to the last softball game and went and walked down Main Street. Then Saturday we got up and headed back home we had alot of fun! Thanks everyone for making this trip so fun.

I GOT A JOB!

Yes, you heard me right....
I GOT A JOB!!!!
I know crazy that I actually got a job in this crappy economy. Well, I now am employed at Overton Medical Center or as some people know it as Overton Urgent Care. This is my second week. So far I love what I am doing. My job is doing EKG's, drawing blood, x-rays, triaging patients(taking them back to the room). What makes me love it even more that it's part time. Just wanted something to give me a little something to do. I could only clean my house so much.

Freecation

Well we got this info from a guy Deryck works with that out at Primm they were giving away hotel rooms for 2 nights. So were like heck yeah a free get away so we booked it. So Tuesday and Wednesday we stay out at Primm. It was a nice little getaway. We needed it we havent been out of town alone since we got engaged. We rode the roller coaster, I think that was the jerkiest (if thats even a word) roller coaster I have ever been on. We hurt when we got off that thing. But, at least we can say we have been on it. HAHA. We also did a little shopping. That was fun. We dont get to do that much so, it was a little treat for ourselfs. We did lay out and went swimming a little bit. The water was freezing though. We just relaxed and enjoyed being together.

Now in just about a week we are going to Park City, UT. We will be there a week. My little sister has tournament there. We are excited to get away where it is a little cooler..

I got asked to.....

SPEAK IN CHURCH!!!
Yes, you heard it they asked me to speak in church. Well, my 2nd counselor, Brother Bolton called me and asked if I would speak in church sunday. I said yes, I mean, I hate speaking in front of people but, I said I would do it. At the same time I thought it would be kind of fun and exciting. He said he wants me to share my testimony about girls camp based on one of the young womens values of Integrity. I am just blank I don't even know where to start. I am sure once I start thinking it will just all come to me, I HOPE! Well, I hope it goes good.

Our Little Friend

We had a visitor on our wall right outside our front door yesterday. Here is a quick glimpse of him. It was so funny. I was in the bathroom doing my hair and I heard our dog, Gunner yelping like crying and I went out side and he was going crazy because he seen this little lizard on the wall.

I decided since I don't have a job and the economy is crap and it's not that easy to find a job that I should at least find something to do. So I painted a few boards and bought some vinyl from a lady in my ward and made these. Two of them i gave to our mothers for Mothers Day. One I still have if any one wants it they can have it. I think I am going to try and do tiles next.

The Colorado River

A couple weekends ago we decided to go camping just for the night with some friends. I dont know if the place had a name but, it was pretty cool. It was right by Boulder City near the Colorado River. We camped right by the river. I had never been camping before. It was a fun expierence. We went on a Saturday night. We cooked chicken and potatoes for dinner. We used a dutch oven. We made smores too. You can forget those when you camp. Which we almost did. We just hung around by the fire and talked. We also used the dutch oven to make our breakfast. When they were cooking it, it look pretty darn gross. It turned out super delicious. It was potatoes, eggs, and bacon. I am excited to go to girls camp now!

My Week Long Job at Costco

My Dad called me about a month ago and asked if I would do a job for him at Costco for 7 days, From April 13th to April 19th. I thought well I have nothing going on and why not do something for some extra money. So for a whole week I stayed in Las Vegas at my parents and did this job for my dad. It actually wasn't that bad. But there was two flaws about it. 1. That I missed Deryck. 2. That by the end of the day my feet and back were killing me. I just stood by the bread that my Dad works for and if any body came by the bread I would tell them about the promotion they were having. It ended up being an easy job for some extra money.

Our New Snowboards

I have been slacking on blogging. Well, Snowboarding season is over. But we went I would say maybe 4 times this season. We both got snowboards maybe the 2nd time we went so we could have our own. I love my snowboard. Deryck loves his too. I even found matching boots to go with my board so maybe when we get extra money I can get them. Here is a couple pictures of our boards. I am so glad Deryck taught me because I love it now!! Its my new favorite thing to do in the winter.

Last weekend, I went with my parents to St. George to my little sister's softball tournament. I was so glad I could go. She did so awesome! She pitched great and hit awesome too! She actually almost hit one over but, the girl caught it in mid air. I was so proud of her. She tried out for high school this weekend. We are still waiting to see if she made JV or Varsity. So, we will see. Jessica, We are so proud of how far you have come with softball and school! We love you so much!

Snowboarding

Yesterday we left early in the morning and drive up to brianhead to go snowboarding with our friends Cody and Cali. It was my first time. I had a hard time getting a hang of it at first. Deryck was getting frusterated with me. He is good at everything, so he just didnt't understand. But, once i got the hang of it, it was blast. It was good to get away and do something. We don't get to do that to often. I am excited to go again. Thanks babe for teaching me, I LOVE YOU!

On Tuesday I got to babysit Colt while Jace went and cleaned his toyhauler and moved it over to our house. It was so much fun watching him. He is the cutest the little boy. Whenever he would see Clutch or Gunner he would say, "puppy". It was the cutest thing. Thanks Nicole and Jace for letting me watch him. I enjoyed watching him. Whenever you need a babysitter again I am here!

Lesson on Building Bird Houses

Your are probably thinking why is the title of this posting Bird Houses? There is a story behind it. Some of you don't know but, Deryck got a calling from Bishop Leavitt at church to be an Assistant for Cub Scouts for Ryan Frei, A family friend. From the things Deryck tells me, he loves it. The other week when he went to Cub Scouts Ryan asked Deryck to do a lesson on building bird houses. I think the lesson is either this Thursday or next Thursday I'm not sure. Deryck is excited to do the lesson. I'm excited too! I can't wait to hear how it went.

Superbowl Get Together 2009

I know this post is kind of late, but its kind of hard when we don't have internet at my house. Thanks Lori for letting me use your internet! Well, anyways, So last sunday we had a little get together at my house for the superbowl. I wouldn't exactly call it a party because, there was only a few of us. So i just called it a little superbowl get together. haha! It was good to have a few of us together, nothing big. We did also have tons of food just for the few of us. Thanks Lori and Mom for all your cooking. It was really good! Oh and thanks Karla for your cupcakes they were delicious. The game, We all wanted Arizona to win. But, they didn't I think we were all happy thought because it did turn out to be a good game! Thanks everyone for coming, we had a good time.
